Let’s get personal and real. I’ve struggled just like you have. I know what it feels like to lose weight, gain it back, lose it again, get depression, gain it back ect.

In the last couple of years i have been able to develop a system that has helped a large amount of clients not just lose weight, but change their life and self motivation for fitness. We are all in this together!

My name is Arturo Pacas, the founder of AP transform fitness. I am 29 years old, and I live in New York City, NY.

I have worked as a Certified personal trainer and nutrition specialist for the past 8 years. I have trained clientele ranging in age with various health needs, from obese individuals to athletes as well as actors, comedians, and models. I’ve worked in many gyms, including Blink Fitness, NYSC, and Mid City Gym, before I decided to create my own private personal training business.

Through my teen years, I grew up very overweight and dealt with depression. I was bullied in school because of my weight and social anxiety. I isolated myself from friends and family.

I decided to take action and had my parents get me a gym membership. I lost 65 pounds in a year. I became involved in sports such as Varsity soccer/football, and I even got a girlfriend (actually, not really, but at least I felt more confident to ask a girl out). I also practiced martial arts, including taekwondo, kickboxing, and Muay Thai, in my early 20s.

I struggled with social anxiety, body dysmorphia and depression in my early and mid 20s that caused me to have a yo-yo effect on my health, especially my weight. I challenged myself to overcome these barriers without medicine and i know from day one i would love to help others do the same! I am not against pills or therapy, in fact i encourage them as a last resort but i know that if i can break the cycle by challenging the body and the mind, i can conquer just about any obstacle life throws at me!

Since then, I have fallen in love with Fitness. Not just caused it helped me calm my depression and anxiety but it has made me a STRONGER and more REFLECTIVE person. To me, going to the gym and challenging myself is like therapy. It helps me become mentally and physically stronger every day! It challenges me and helps me grow every single day. In the good days and the bad days.

I didn’t just gain confidence but a strong mindset.
